Judea Weekly eNews for October 20

Last Sunday, we celebrated worship 1950 style, with hymnals and prayers of the time - in fact, we duplicated an order of service from October 1950.  Many have commented on these older service remakes made them reflect on the (sometimes radical) changes that have happened over the past 275 years.  I know that it was nice to visit but I am very grateful for the beautiful and inspiring services of our current time.  Oh and keep an eye out on our Facebook page and the upcoming issue of Judea Journal for a photo of the ladies who attended wearing a hat, sometimes gloves, many of which were graciously supplied by Louise and the Gunn Museum - though more than one person had their own "church hat"!

If you missed any of the historic services the past three Sundays, it is not too late to join in the birthday celebration!  This Sunday will be the first of two "contemporary" services that will incorporate elements that reflect new trends in worship.  It should be another fun and interesting service.  There will be lots of more contemporary music, featuring SingOut!CT and even the addition of some more technology to our worship experience.

There is a short but important list of announcements on the right.  Please take a few moments now to read through.

May blessings, like fall leaves, rain down upon you!
